C-AHT54 CENTRE OIL PICK-UP PIPE - FITTING INSTRUCTIONS.

Oil pressure loss caused by oil surge can be experienced under hard cornering. To alleviate this it is essential to fit a centre oil pick-up pipe.Mini Spares' continual research and development program has seen advances in pick-up pipe design, replacing the original ancient design conceived by Abingdon ST some thirty-plus years ago.

These single SU carb manifolds were developed to provide optimum airflow and air speed for the vast majority of road-used cars. The development program saw a significant increase in efficiency following production to the point where they are the best 'off the shelf' manifolds on the market for a majority of applications, including motorsport where only a single SU is allowed, yet not at extreme expense since sand casting methods were employed to keep costs down.

Air, so far hasn’t been subject to privatisation, consumption charges, or tax, so you may well use as much of it as possible. What better way to use it than getting as much of it as possible into your engine – it tends to help power output considerable!

In the first issue of Minitech News we covered our Stage One Kit for the998cc showing showing the power gained by its installation. Part of that kit is Mini Spares’ own alloy inlet manifold. In the second issue we outlined the details of its production and increased flow potential.

Since the inception of the Mini, if any manufacturers have produced a vast array of different designs and' sizes of wheel rim.Many are now defunct, although some of the rims still surface through garage clearouts and the like .. Many of the rims specifically made for the Mini generally fit with no problems, others have been adapted from a rim made for another vehicle.
